Maintenance Technician II (Artspace Lofts- 1458)
About The Position
EAH Housing is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician II to work at Ola Ka Ilima (ArtSpace Lofts), an 84-unit affordable live/work apartment property in Honolulu, Hawaii. The property is a HUD HOME, Tax Credit / HMMF Bond, and Tax Credit property. The role performs a wide variety of maintenance duties and is expected to repair and maintain most property items without outside vendor assistance. The position generally works at a property with 100 or more units. Candidates should have at least two years of apartment maintenance experience and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and basic computer skills are required. Yardi Voyager experience and HVAC certification are preferred. The listed salary range is $23.75–$35.15 per hour; the typical hiring range for new employees is $23.75–$29.45 per hour, depending on experience. Offers also consider the experience of the final candidate and current EAH pay for similar roles.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of related apartment maintenance experience.
- Knowledge and skills in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities
- Handle lock and key replacement and repair, including weather stripping and door and window operation and locks.
- Perform interior repairs related to walls and doors.
- Perform electrical repairs involving fixtures, lights, plugs, and switches.
- Change AC filters, check coils, and clean and repair them when necessary.
- Perform annual unit inspections.
- Ensure unit turnovers are completed within five days.
- Repair and maintain most property items without outside vendor assistance.
