About The Position

Performs routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs under direction to keep manufacturing equipment and plant systems running safely. Learns troubleshooting methods, follows standard work instructions, and completes work orders with guidance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical program coursework a plus.
• 0–2 years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to follow written instructions and complete work orders.
• Ability to operate a forklift and manlift (or ability to obtain certification).
• Willingness to learn electrical basics, troubleshooting techniques, and plant safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to basic electrical concepts (e.g., meters, identifying common components) under supervision.
• Exposure to maintaining or serving mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned PM tasks (lubrication, filter changes, basic inspections) and document results.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment following direction.
• Replace common wear parts (belts, chains, bearings, hoses, sensors) using standard tools and procedures.
• Support line changeovers and start-up checks as assigned; report abnormal conditions promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and required PPE; maintain a clean work area (5S).
• Communicate status of work orders to the lead technician/supervisor.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, supervisor, and other departments.
