Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for providing building and grounds maintenance services to include minor renovations and coordination of renovation projects. Requires travel to all clinics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent G.E.D and at least five (5) years of experience in building maintenance to include building renovations in office settings.
  • Knowledge of building codes to include electrical, plumbing, and general safety.
  • Skill sets required: plumbing, light electrical, carpentry, light HVAC, painting/drywall repair and installation, general office repairs, the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and the ability to solve problems in a creative and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safety of all Root Center for Advanced Recovery Clinics, to include grounds as well as other Root Center structures.
  • Responsible for some coordination of building renovation projects and utility system repairs under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Facilities.
  • Collaborates with other professionals or third-party vendors, during renovations or projects.
  • Performs minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filing gaps on walls, etc.
  • Installs appliances and equipment
  • Lawn and parking lot upkeep, as needed.
  • Conducts maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, plumbing repairs, leaky valves, etc.
  • Inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems (i.e., ventilation)
  • Checks functionality of safety systems (i.e., fire alarms)
  • Ability to interact effectively in a medical/clinic setting with both staff and patients during building project work.
  • Assists Clinic Supervisors in routine maintenance and special projects i.e., office moves, etc.
