About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Danforth Bay Camping Resort is responsible for maintenance of the campground, including but not limited to, facilities, equipment, and general appearance of the campground.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
  • Education- high school; GED; technical/trade school; apprenticeship
  • Ability to work outdoors during a variety of weather environments.
  • Flexibility with schedule required including the ability to work/be on call for some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reach/squat/bend/carry/push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and customer service required with staff and guests.
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain guest and employee confidentiality.
  • Strong work ethic, commitment, and a positive attitude
  • Dependable and adheres to scheduled shifts.
  • Must be able to operate equipment including, but not limited to, tractor, golf cart, lawnmower, leaf blower, weed whacker, etc.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Candidates must successfully pass a license background check as part of the hiring process.
  • As an authorized driver of a company vehicle, you are required to maintain a valid motor vehicle record (MVR) throughout your employment. This includes ongoing monitoring to ensure continued compliance with company safety and insurance standards. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the rescinding of a job offer.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the condition of the Campgrounds facilities and equipment, including but not limited to, basic repairs, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and site prep.
  • Responsible for appearance and condition of grounds and roads, to include but not limited to mowing, weedwacking, trimming brush, grading, collecting trash on ground, etc.
  • Maintain condition of all ditches, catch basins, and culverts.
  • Responsible for having seasonal and transient sites consistently cleaned, prepared, and maintained for occupancy.
  • Reports and is accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor
