About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I at Cottonwood Highland Apartments performs repairs related to household, building, and property grounds, which may include plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry. The role works standard community hours, including evenings and weekends, and serves as an on-call technician providing after-hours emergency service with support from the Service Manager while following Company standards.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Ability to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds and navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and push or pull, and to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

• EPA certification Type II or Universal.
• Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC.
• CPO certification.
