About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for operating department equipment and performing general maintenance of the facility and equipment. Duties are performed in accordance with applicable standards to provide a safe environment of care for employees, patients, and visitors of all ages. The role may also include security duties when a security officer is absent and other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
General maintenance background experience required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Electrical maintenance license preferred but not required; training may be provided.
Hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate department equipment.
Perform general maintenance of the facility and equipment in accordance with applicable standards to help provide a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
Perform security duties in the absence of a security officer.
Carry out other related duties as assigned or requested.
