About The Position

The Maintenance Tech works overnight at the Omni Severin Hotel, helping keep the property safe, efficient, and operating properly. The role performs preventive maintenance, operates and maintains building systems and equipment, responds to maintenance calls and emergencies, and supports repairs and improvements across the hotel.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Comfort using basic computer systems and mobile work orders.
• Physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Comfort working on ladders, in tight spaces, and overhead.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance schedules on key equipment.
• Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers and systems supporting hot water, kitchen steam, and air conditioning.
• Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance calls and emergencies.
• Assist contractors and fellow mechanics with property repairs and improvements.
• Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry, and pool equipment.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned work orders and daily task lists.
• Communicate with the team by radio throughout the shift.
• Know emergency protocols, fire safety systems, and OSHA regulations.
• Support other hotel departments as needed.
