About The Position

OOIDA is seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and versatile Maintenance Technician/Custodian to maintain a safe, functional, and professional work environment at its facilities and grounds in Grain Valley, Missouri. This position suits someone with broad general maintenance and repair skills who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, operating shop equipment and power tools, and taking on a variety of projects. Duties include building and facility maintenance, minor repairs, groundskeeping, seasonal snow removal, and light custodial work as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench carpentry using shop equipment and power tools, including drills, saws, sanders, planers, air nailers, and routers.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and rollers.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Operate mechanized equipment, including vacuums and floor scrubbers, safely and effectively; perform minor maintenance or report malfunctions.
• Assist with event setup and teardown.
• Work off-site on special projects, such as gathering materials, moving equipment or furniture, and cleaning.
• Interact with members and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Adapt to changing priorities based on facility needs or special events.
• Perform building and facility maintenance, minor repairs, groundskeeping, seasonal snow removal, and light custodial duties as needed.
