About The Position

The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for actively performing job duties as a Maintenance Technician, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures, and maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery, and stamping presses. This role also involves modifying existing production work cells to improve quality, productivity, and ergonomics, and performing preventative maintenance. The Team Leader assesses and prioritizes work requests, ensures necessary materials are available, and follows up on work orders to meet job specifications and timelines. They coordinate regular preventative maintenance on daily equipment and facilities, communicate with Manufacturing Supervisors to prioritize maintenance calls, and understand the strengths of each Maintenance team member to adequately assign tasks. The Team Leader monitors team progress, ensures effective and cooperative teamwork, and serves as the main contact for escalating Maintenance concerns to management. They conduct pass-down meetings with the next shift, provide daily reports to the Maintenance Manager, and comply with safety regulations. Additionally, they ensure the application of all Flex-N-Gate’s safety policies and procedures, provide necessary training, maintain a positive attitude, and assist with reporting safety issues, workplace injuries, and environmental incidents.

Requirements

Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery and stamping presses
Perform preventative maintenance
Assess and prioritize work requests
Ensure material required for the work is available
Follow up on work orders to ensure job specifications (quality and quantity) and time lines are met
Coordinate regular preventative maintenance on daily equipment and facility
Communicate with Manufacturing Supervisor’s throughout the shift to understand prioritization of Maintenance calls throughout the shift
Understand strengths of each Maintenance team member to be able to adequately assign team members to Maintenance calls
Monitor team members progress throughout the shift
Ensure all employees are working together in an effective and cooperative manner to complete job requirements as quickly and completely as possible per work instructions and standard work
Main contact for escalation of Maintenance concerns to Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and/ or General Manager
Perform pass down meeting with next shift and daily report to Maintenance Manager
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Ensure the application of all Flex-N-Gate’s safety policies and procedures
Provide necessary training and instruction to others
Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude throughout the workday
Assist with completing reports for all safety issues, work place injuries and environmental incidents immediately upon notification
