About The Position

The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for leading maintenance operations during the shift, ensuring equipment reliability, team performance, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, coaching, and coordination of maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with PLCs, motor drives, and control systems
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical data
  • Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills and ability to lead by example
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Technical school diploma with 3+ years of experience or high school diploma with 5+ years of experience
  • Minimum 12 months of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Electrical maintenance experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience in flexible packaging (blown film, extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety standards are followed, including LOTO, PPE, and safe machine operation
  • Maintain safe and efficient operating conditions for all production equipment
  • Follow GMP and product quality requirements
  • Train and support new maintenance team members
  • Assign and manage work orders, ensuring timely completion
  • Coach and guide technicians through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Ensure accurate completion of work orders (labor, parts, downtime, root cause, resolution)
  • Monitor team performance including attendance, skill levels, and KPI adherence
  • Escalate issues related to safety, quality, and downtime to leadership
  • Support ongoing plant and maintenance improvement projects
  • Manage shift coverage and staffing needs
  • Participate in Global Performance System (GPS) activities including audits, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
