Maintenance Team Leader

About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Team Lead coordinates and prioritizes maintenance crew activities and performs repairs and maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. The role includes troubleshooting equipment, replacing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining the establishment’s physical structure.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
Excellent attendance and safety record.
Knowledge of pneumatic tools and production equipment.
Demonstrated leadership capability.
Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of maintenance crew members and associates.
Coordinate with management to prioritize and complete maintenance activities.
Ensure communication between shifts and participate in Team Leader meetings.
Inspect and test machines and equipment to identify malfunctions, and dismantle devices to access problem areas.
Install new or repaired parts and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components; install special functional and structural parts in devices.
Clean and lubricate machinery components, including shafts, bearings, and gears.
Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Repair and maintain the establishment’s physical structure.
Clean the work area, tools, and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
