About The Position

The COLD SIDE Maintenance Supervisor at JBS USA in Marshalltown is responsible for prioritizing work orders and scheduling mechanics based on urgency. This role involves monitoring all production areas to ensure equipment and machinery are functioning correctly. The supervisor will perform skilled maintenance tasks such as construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing, and hydraulics, as well as adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment. Additionally, the position requires participation in the HAZMAT team for emergency preparedness and promoting safety in all maintenance activities. The role also includes completing required paperwork, such as payroll, and attending scheduled meetings.

Requirements

• Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.
• Be able to communicate verbally and in written form in English.
• Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the building, mechanical and electrical trades.
• Previous mechanical and related experience required.
• Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
