About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is integral to the overall development and success of their workplaces. The Maintenance Supervisor will manage & lead the maintenance staff. This includes the Technical Support Functions (e.g. Maintenance, Special Projects, etc.). This also includes but not limited to Current Production, Product Launch, Process Launch, and PM Strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Engineering, Technical Engineering Degree or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Industrial Maintenance experience.
  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience in PLC and HMI maintenance & troubleshooting (including Ladder logic).
  • Ability to read advanced electrical and blueprint schematics.
  • Experience with Integrated circuit troubleshooting.
  • Experience with wire control circuits for 5, 12, 24, and 120 volts.
  • Experience with advanced pneumatic circuit design.
  • Advanced Welding skills and experience with welding tools.
  • Experience with basic shop tools (hand tools, drills, lathes, and milling machine).
  • Experience with Bridge & Rail Cranes.
  • Experience with Drilling/tapping.
  • Experience with Circuit design & layout.
  • Experience with Cutting & threading pipe.
  • Experience with basic pneumatic troubleshooting & repair.
  • Capable of sizing motor starters and overloads for application.
  • Ability to maintain machine functionality.
  • Ability to complete employee development plans, organize, communicate, and motivate employees.
  • Must be able to prioritize own work-day schedule.
  • Must be able and willing to work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of Timer’s & Counter theory; Electronics theory; Encoders/decoders theory; OHM’s Law; Hydraulics theory & functionality.
  • Forklift experience (Certification will be required).
  • Overhead crane experience (Certification will be required).
  • TS 16949 awareness.
  • ISO 14001 orientation / awareness training.
  • Internal Customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Manage & lead the maintenance staff.
  • Oversee Technical Support Functions (e.g. Maintenance, Special Projects, etc.).
  • Manage Current Production, Product Launch, Process Launch, and PM Strategy.
  • Perform & diagnose hydraulic leaks and PMs.
  • Perform building maintenance including plant lighting, compressors and emergency lighting.
  • Bend conduit and pull wire.
  • Install & set-up motor contactors and VFDs.
  • Ensure all employees follow safety guidelines and actively intervene to correct unsafe actions and conditions.
  • Conduct daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices adherence and coach employees as needed.
  • Ensure all accidents including first aid are reported.
  • Oversee hourly employee timecards, including approvals for overtime and vacation within the Kronos system.
  • Schedule, coordinate and direct all necessary maintenance and construction work.
  • Make preliminary, intermediate and final inspection of maintenance and construction work to ensure proper workmanship, materials and conformance to work methods and safety regulations.
  • Meet with senior management regularly and give them monthly budgets and project status.
  • Meet with counterparts, technical partners and customers.
  • Conduct regular meetings with teams, providing each team member an objective or goal and monitor progress.
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members providing feedback, and make promotion recommendations or salary increases if applicable.
  • Track Maintenance and Tooling projects.
  • Lead for spare parts crib – manage corporate cost reduction and inventory projects, crib stock management, part sharing tracking.
  • Track repairs and improvements for facilities.
  • Submit requisitions when parts or plant services need completed.
  • Track and monitor PM and work order completions.
  • Prepare short descriptive power points for tooling and machine repairs.
  • Support maintenance on daily meetings for open issues.
  • Work with quality and process engineering with tooling and injection related issues.
  • Audit INFOR system.
