About The Position

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its Maintenance team at the Plymouth plant in Plymouth, Michigan. This full-time, salaried position is responsible for the maintenance department’s safety, quality, production, and delivery objectives within the assigned area. The supervisor provides proactive leadership to foster and maintain continuous improvement, communicates and prioritizes daily work assignments, and participates in root-cause analysis and team problem-solving activities. The role also ensures the team has the tools and materials needed to work safely and efficiently. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager. AUTOKINITON is a Michigan-based family of automotive companies with end-to-end engineering, manufacturing, and in-house logistics capabilities. Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial Technology is preferred, or eight years of work experience.
A minimum of six years as a maintenance supervisor is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance department safety, quality, production, and delivery objectives for the assigned area.
Provide proactive leadership to promote and sustain a continuous-improvement mindset for the team.
Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments for the team.
Participate in root-cause analysis and team problem-solving activities, including 8D reports and department meetings.
Ensure the team has the tools and materials necessary to perform its work safely and efficiently.
