About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for Hotel Cala, a luxury hotel scheduled to open in January 2027 in Tampa. The position ensures that maintenance functions, including preventive maintenance, meet company and brand standards for compliance and safety. The supervisor delegates, oversees, and participates in preventive and general maintenance, supports guest needs, and may act as Manager on Duty when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year in a hotel maintenance position.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to exceed guest expectations.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance functions, including preventive maintenance, comply with company and brand standards for safety and compliance.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs meet brand standards, including maintenance of equipment, HVAC units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and plumbing.
• Complete preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Ensure swimming pool and spa maintenance is performed according to brand standards and health department regulations.
• Perform repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work safely and neatly, following departmental procedures.
• Delegate, supervise, and participate in preventive and general maintenance programs, including maintaining a room maintenance strategy and scheduling preventive maintenance.
• Assist other departments with guest requests and concerns.
• Educate hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions.
• Act as Manager on Duty when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
