About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor helps oversee the daily operations of the Buildings and Grounds Department. This position coordinates maintenance activities, supervises staff, monitors safety and compliance standards, and helps ensure all Center facilities, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained and operating efficiently. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment, or facilities.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance operations, safety regulations, and facility management practices.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage projects, and support a team environment.
  • Stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Walk, bend, squat, kneel, and perform physical maintenance tasks.
  • Lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training in maintenance, plant operations, tools, or equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily work of maintenance staff.
  • Help plan, schedule, and monitor maintenance projects and repairs.
  • Oversee building, grounds, equipment, and vehicle maintenance activities.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and Center standards.
  • Monitor fire alarms, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and security systems.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of outside contractors and service providers.
  • Train and support maintenance employees on equipment, tools, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain records, inventories, maintenance reports, and department documentation.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and help develop effective repair solutions.
  • Perform maintenance work as needed and assist with special projects.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and guidance.
  • Participate in meetings, training programs, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
