About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Battery Assembly building and supervises hourly UAW skilled-trades employees, including mechanics and electricians. The position coordinates maintenance support for production and serves as the direct communication link between Production and Maintenance. The team includes approximately 5 employees on first shift and 10–12 on second shift, with up to 14 employees when covering absences.

The role is primarily plant-floor based, with approximately 80% of the time on the floor and 20% in the office. Any potential extension depends on production volume, funding, and successful 30/60/90-day progress. Direct hire may be possible later but is not guaranteed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Training in a skilled-trades area or equivalent technical training.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Technical aptitude and ability to lead mechanics and electricians in an automated manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily machine-repair work and repair priorities.
• Organize manpower and trade resources according to production needs.
• Support long-term improvement projects.
• Coordinate electrician and mechanic resource availability.
• Order parts from the warehouse.
• Complete required documentation.
• Serve as the communication link between Production and Maintenance.
