About The Position
Helpful Hands, Inc. is seeking an experienced EVS Supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations and staff in a healthcare environment. This role ensures a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years healthcare housekeeping experience
- Must pass a background check
- Must communicate effectively in English
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years supervisory experience preferred (managing 24–30 staff)
- IEHA or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support EVS staff across hospital areas
- Conduct daily inspections and promptly correct deficiencies
- Train, coach, counsel, and discipline staff per policy
- Develop, post, and manage staff schedules
- Maintain accurate documentation: attendance, incidents, evaluations, and corrective actions
- Oversee linen distribution and regulated medical waste handling
- Monitor supplies and promote cost-effective operations
- Respond promptly to calls/pages
- Conduct tours with leadership and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement
