About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities. This role involves demonstrating conduct consistent with NIPG’s vision and values, providing leadership in safety, reliability, team development, cost control, and project management. The supervisor will develop and implement reliability-based maintenance programs, supervise and direct maintenance tradespeople, and plan, prioritize, and assign resources for maintenance activities. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, ensuring all maintenance work is completed effectively, and allocating resources appropriately throughout each shift. The position also focuses on leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead, enforce, and continuously improve safety policies, practices, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • BSc degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) OR (433A) Industrial Millwright OR (442A) Industrial electrician certificate of qualification

  • Experience in metals, mining, steel manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments
