About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and overseeing maintenance technicians who maintain equipment on the production floor and complete other maintenance projects. This role ensures preventive maintenance programs are executed effectively, minimizes equipment downtime, and supports continuous improvement efforts.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with print reading and PLC programming/troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work overtime as assigned.
  • Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of experience in industrial maintenance, including at least two years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians across all shifts.
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians.
  • Enforce all plant safety rules and lead or participate in safety meetings.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and assist in controlling the maintenance department budget.
  • Perform shift mechanic functions as needed to support the team.
  • Drive continuous process improvement within the maintenance function.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management of maintenance staff.
  • Complete non-routine maintenance projects as prescribed by management.
  • Ensure process-related activities comply with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, VDA 6.3, or customer-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Maintain 5S in work areas.
  • All other duties as assigned.
