Maintenance Supervisor of Apartment Community
About The Position
Carteret Management Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at Uptown Sky, an apartment community in Tampa, Florida. The role supports the company’s values of communication, customer service, and competency and is permanent, full-time employment. The property is located near the intersection of E. Fletcher Avenue and N. Nebraska Avenue and has 61 two- and three-bedroom units. The position combines hands-on maintenance work with day-to-day administrative oversight of maintenance functions. Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Prior maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Ability to multitask with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, such as hammers, screwdrivers, handheld drills, and circular saws.
- Ability to perform general janitorial duties.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with on-site staff, vendors, and residents.
Responsibilities
- Work to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction at all times.
- Ensure the safety, appearance, and operational standards established by Carteret Management.
- Perform hands-on maintenance duties to maintain and enhance the value of the community, including diagnosing problems and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, exterior structure, appliances, and cleaning issues.
- Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of maintenance functions, including vendor management, report submission, paperwork, and recordkeeping.
- Handle service requests for repairs and improvements to vacant apartments to bring them to market-ready status.
