About The Position
Carteret Management Corporation is seeking Maintenance Personnel to perform routine building maintenance at a newer apartment community in downtown Jacksonville. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a strong benefits package. The role focuses on resident satisfaction, community safety and appearance, and maintaining operational standards under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager. Duties include hands-on repairs and apartment turnover work, with occasional availability for after-hours emergency calls. Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Prior maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
- Ability to multitask with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, including hammers, screwdrivers, handheld drills, and circular saws.
- Ability to perform general janitorial duties.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with on-site staff, vendors, and residents.
Responsibilities
- Work to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction at all times.
- Ensure the safety, appearance, and operational standards established by Carteret Management under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Perform hands-on maintenance duties to maintain and enhance the community, diagnosing problems and making repairs involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, exterior structures, appliance repair, and cleaning.
- Turn over apartments, including cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing, and other repairs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Occasionally be available for after-hours emergency calls.
