About The Position

The Maintenance Superintendent will oversee and manage the day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring the proper functioning of plant equipment and facilities. The role requires ensuring timely and effective maintenance processes to support production efficiency and equipment longevity.

Requirements

• Proven Supervisory Skills, including the ability to lead, manage, and train maintenance staff effectively
• Strong expertise in Maintenance Management and experience in managing maintenance operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proficiency in Plant Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance practices to ensure minimal downtime and consistent production efficiency
• Hands-on experience in Maintenance & Repair of industrial equipment and facilities, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and operations
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial standards as related to maintenance processes
• Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Previous management and supervisory experience required
• OSHA safety requirements

Nice To Haves

• CAD and SAP enterprise software desired
• Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience desired
• Experience in the roofing or construction materials industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Implement preventive maintenance programs
• Coordinate repair schedules
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Maintain Engineering standards in accordance with the latest industry and legal requirements for plant operations and capital projects
• Develop innovative solutions to drive energy costs down
• Maintain a fleet of mobile equipment that include: Electric Pallet Jacks, Sit down forklifts, Sweeper, and Front End Loader
