About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily maintenance operations to support manufacturing objectives, improve equipment reliability, and ensure a safe and productive work environment. This role provides leadership to maintenance team members, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures preventive maintenance programs are effectively executed.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Four or more years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and utilize computer systems related to maintenance operations.
  • Ability to interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, CMMS systems, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Experience leading maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of maintenance operations and establish or adjust work procedures to support production and operational requirements.
  • Provide high-quality service to internal customers while ensuring repair parts inventory is effectively managed and maintained.
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members by setting clear expectations, promoting accountability, and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager in hiring, training, evaluating, and managing maintenance personnel.
  • Facilitate training on equipment, maintenance procedures, safety programs, and operational processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and ensure all contracted work is properly supervised and completed safely.
  • Manage maintenance projects to ensure completion within established timelines and budget requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and team efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all housekeeping, environmental, and safety standards throughout the maintenance department.
  • Plan, schedule, and support preventive maintenance activities and work order execution to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Ensure the availability, accuracy, and timely procurement of replacement parts and maintenance materials.
  • Investigate equipment failures and quality concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize maintenance metrics and performance indicators to drive improvements in equipment uptime and maintenance effectiveness.
