About The Position

Join CDD, a Kansas City nonprofit with over 50 years of service, as a Maintenance Technician. In this full-time role, you will ensure over 30 homes, duplexes, vehicles, and office buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for the individuals and staff who rely on them. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • At least 1 year of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license (MO Class E or Kansas Class C); ability to travel locally.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems.
  • Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Track supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices.
  • Respond to emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls.
