This is a non-benefitted, budgeted position limited to 999 hours per fiscal year. This is not a PERS eligible position. We have an opening for a Part-Time Maintenance Specialist/Maintenance Trainee in Public Works/Streets.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime when required
- Must possess a valid Class "C" California driver's license at the time of application
- Read, write, and understand English to follow safety precautions and procedures
- Operate equipment and vehicles in a manner consistent with safety procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- Work cooperatively with others and contribute to a successful team effort
Nice To Haves
- Experience performing routine construction, landscape and/or maintenance work, including manual labor experience involving the use of hand tools and portable power tools is desirable
Responsibilities
- Street maintenance
- Concrete demo, and curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement
- Tree trimming
- Landscape maintenance and irrigation system repair
- Graffiti removal
