About The Position
The City of Pearsall is seeking a Street Maintenance Worker to perform various duties related to the maintenance of roads and drainage systems. This entry-level position involves tasks such as street sweeping, cleaning and repairing catch basins, installing street signs, traffic control, tree trimming, and ditch maintenance. The role requires operating various equipment including pickup trucks, dump trucks, street sweepers, chain saws, and brush chippers.
Requirements
- 1 year progressively responsible experience in streets maintenance and storm drainage cleaning.
- Ability to perform labor-intensive work within difficult environmental conditions.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Physical.
- Must possess a valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
- High School/GED.
- Any certifications related to streets.
Responsibilities
