About The Position

Performs all routine maintenance work for the parks division at the sports complex, including special events. This role involves routine buildings and grounds maintenance, trash removal, inspection of grounds and athletic areas for repairs, and operation and maintenance of equipment used in daily operations. The position also includes assisting with the setup of special events and sports tournaments, and requires working weekends and evenings as needed. The employee will communicate with other employees and may respond to public inquiries. The role requires the ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals, troubleshoot air conditioning and plumbing, and operate various hand tools and maintenance equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate with other employees in the work group and respond to questions from the general public regarding services or specific projects.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals.
• Skill in troubleshooting air conditioning and plumbing.
• Ability to operate hand tools and equipment such as mowers, gas powered trimmers, saws and other gardening and maintenance tools.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
