About The Position

The Mechanical Maintenance Shift Supervisor oversees Maintenance and Maintenance Support Technicians performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of ACP equipment and facilities. The role supervises personnel maintaining mechanical systems, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls, as well as other maintenance activities including painting, carpentry, sheet metal, and machinist work.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Engineering or Physical Sciences, or equivalent technical experience, with a high school diploma or GED; alternatively, successful completion of the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
• Within the past eight years, three years of plant maintenance experience in the chemical, nuclear, power generation, or pharmaceutical industries, or experience through the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assign, schedule, and instruct personnel in equipment monitoring and data collection equipment maintenance, and in maintenance of centrifuges and supporting systems under approved procedures.
• Prepare weekly technician work schedules, ensure qualified personnel are available for assigned work, and approve hours worked.
• Monitor work for compliance with procedures and direct maintenance activities using approved procedures, work instructions, or test plans.
• Instruct employees on safety, environmental, quality assurance, and security-related matters.
• Manage materials, parts, and supplies under the position’s jurisdiction.
• Close out and review work orders.
• Review drawings and procedures to ensure electrical guidelines are followed.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
• Enforce and adhere to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, and security, environmental, and safety program requirements.
