Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
• Information to support your eligibility for the position must be provided on the application (i.e., relevant, detailed experience/education).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Plumber Supervisor and Plumber 1’s to perform maintenance, repair, replacement, inspection, and installation on all types of plumbing systems and sewer lines.
• Perform maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting trades.
• Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and improvements in a safe and effective manner.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing, heating, and electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
• Remodel walls, ceilings, and floors and build structures such as shelving and cabinets.
• Estimate, transport, and organize materials needed for work assignments.
• Complete required work orders and forms with accurate details on tasks and parts used.
