About The Position

This position plays a key role in delivering psychological services that guide patient treatment, as well as supporting teamwork across the hospital. As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Team Participation: Attend treatment team meetings and contribute recommendations during discussions. Assessment Work: Complete initial and annual evaluations for assigned patients in line with hospital requirements. Therapeutic Support: Provide group and individual therapy sessions to strengthen emotional and behavioral health. Collaboration Efforts: Work with medical, psychiatric, and interdisciplinary staff to develop treatment and behavior plans. Documentation Duties: Maintain required patient records in an electronic record system.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
