About The Position

This position supports the daily operation of the hospital by completing skilled and semi-skilled work in several trades to maintain safe and functional facilities. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties: General Repairs: Perform building maintenance, basic repairs, and needed renovations across hospital property Electrical Tasks: Install circuits, lighting, outlets, and related electrical components Plumbing Work: Install and maintain pipes, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment Surface Finishing: Prep, prime, paint, and finish both interior and exterior surfaces Carpentry Skills: Construct framing, hang drywall, install trim, and set doors and windows Equipment Use: Operate and maintain tools and machinery in a safe and responsible manner.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Be able to perform essential job functions
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (required after conditional offer of employment)
• Medical examination (required after conditional offer of employment)
