As a Maintenance Repairman 2 with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, you will help keep buildings, equipment, and grounds in strong working condition. Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
• Must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
• Must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport for this position.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Installs and replaces electrical circuits, wall plugs, lighting fixtures, and switches, and complete basic lighting repairs
• Repair leaks, clear drains, and install or replace plumbing fixtures
• Fix doors, windows and sills, install paneling and flooring, and replace window screens
• Mix cement, repair sidewalks, and prepare and paint surfaces
• Perform preventive maintenance and make minor repairs to tools and systems
• Operate snow removal, landscaping, and cleaning equipment
