About The Position
Join Oshkosh AeroTech as a Machine Repair Technician Level 3, leading advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of complex baggage handling systems and associated electrical/mechanical components. You will also be essential in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs). In this senior technical role, you'll manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance efforts, provide team leadership, and ensure operational excellence through detailed documentation and data analysis. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining seamless airport operations, safety compliance, and efficient system functionality.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
- 5+ years’ experience in the area of maintenance operations.
- Advanced skills in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of PLC Control systems
- Experience with 480V and 3-phase motors.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience working at an airport with good understanding of airport operations.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Experience with passenger boarding bridges and conveyance systems.
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair BHS and related electrical/mechanical systems, including industrial controls, wiring, and components.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs).
- Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance; lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance efforts.
- Lead and delegate tasks while communicating professionally with customers and team members.
- Replace system components (e.g., encoders, photo eyes, controllers) and interpret manuals/work orders for accurate service execution.
- Accurately document maintenance activity in CMMS and analyze system data to identify and resolve issues.
- Communicate critical updates to supervisors and operate equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, and company vehicles.
- Support daily operations by clearing baggage jams and ensuring minimal system downtime.
- Comply with company safety program and trainings.
