Maintenance Printer Technician - (3rd shift)
About The Position
Lake Cable is seeking a Maintenance Printer Technician to join their team. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining existing printing machines with minimal assistance. The technician will also be responsible for installing new printing equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, and maintaining an accurate inventory of printer parts. The position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safe operation of power tools, and knowledge of applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements. A solid grasp of mechanical/electrical principles is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret equipment manuals, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work independently, and demonstrate efficient time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- One year of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent experience in a maintenance group
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
- Efficient time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail with consistent accuracy
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts
- Knows how to safely operate all the basic power tools
- Knowledge of applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements for performing the job

Responsibilities
- Observe and listen to operating printing equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs
- Dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble printers using hand and power tools
- Set up and troubleshoot printers
- Perform preventative maintenance on printers
- Keep an accurate inventory of printer parts needed for repairs
- Schedule service calls
