About The Position

Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry is seeking a Maintenance / Porter to help create an environment of total customer satisfaction by making customers’ needs the first priority. The role performs general maintenance inside and outside the store, keeps customer and employee areas clean and orderly, and monitors work performed by contracted vendors. The position is associated with the Jared Jewelers location at Eastland Mall.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Genuine desire to serve customers by keeping retail stores and their outside areas orderly.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
• Moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and basic carpentry skills.
• Visual and auditory skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance inside and outside the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean by picking up or sweeping spills and debris.
• Keep glass windows and doors free from spots.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms on the designated schedule.
• Keep the break room clean, neat, and orderly.
• Maintain the outside appearance of the store by removing debris and ensuring trash containers are emptied regularly.
• Clear snow, slush, or ice from in front of the entrance.
• Monitor maintenance performed by contracted vendors.
• Use the ETS in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
