Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- Knowledge of Publix’s part procurement practices
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics for all equipment and systems
- Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management skills (plan, organize and follow-through on tasks)
- Project management skills and the ability to manage projects using time and resource management
- Ability to teach others how to use manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Ability to analyze information and data
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (SAP)
- Knowledge of power and electrical systems and controls
- Knowledge of manufacturing plant or distribution warehousing facilities
- Knowledge of safety pertaining to construction and maintenance
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations if working in a food manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of computer electronics, ladder logic, and electrical control systems, including programmable logic control systems. This also includes knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and high voltage equipment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating and maintaining the PM program (routine) for the maintenance department
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating of non-routine work and repairs
- Configuring new and maintaining existing operations, equipment and processes.
