Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of Publix’s part procurement practices
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics for all equipment and systems
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management skills (plan, organize and follow-through on tasks)
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage projects using time and resource management
  • Ability to teach others how to use manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Ability to analyze information and data
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (SAP)
  • Knowledge of power and electrical systems and controls
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant or distribution warehousing facilities
  • Knowledge of safety pertaining to construction and maintenance
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations if working in a food manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of computer electronics, ladder logic, and electrical control systems, including programmable logic control systems. This also includes knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and high voltage equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating and maintaining the PM program (routine) for the maintenance department
  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating of non-routine work and repairs
  • Configuring new and maintaining existing operations, equipment and processes.
