About The Position

Performs major repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. The shift is 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The role also includes maintaining hotel grounds and common areas, monitoring supplies and inventory, and reporting or addressing safety and guest-satisfaction issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and thoroughly clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance, including removing weeds.
• Report problems that could interfere with guest satisfaction.
• Clean the storage area daily and lock all storage areas before clocking out.
• Ensure each floor has enough housekeeping supplies and that sufficient linens and supplies are in stock.
• Verify that all exterior lights are working properly.
• Report and fix safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Ensure the stockroom has enough inventory to last at least two weeks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
