About The Position

Crown Linen Service is hiring a full-time, first-shift Maintenance Mechanic. The position is responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment in safe, proper operating condition. The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains production and other facility equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, light plumbing, and electrical maintenance. The role also assists with installing new equipment and fabricates equipment or supplemental pieces as needed. Preventive measures are applied to reduce future problems and defects, and safety hazards are identified and corrected to help prevent injuries. The schedule is Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:00 a.m.; overtime is available. The work takes place in a production environment and may involve hot and cold conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.
A second-class fireman's license or higher.
One to three years of experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Five to seven years of mechanical experience is identified as ideal.

Responsibilities

Perform predictive maintenance on equipment and the facility.
Start up boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Set up production machines.
Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on equipment and the facility.
Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of facilities, grounds, and buildings.
Repair and maintain production and facility equipment and troubleshoot equipment failures.
Perform mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, light plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
Assist with installing new equipment and fabricate equipment or supplemental pieces as needed.
Apply preventive measures to reduce future problems and defects.
Identify and correct safety hazards to help prevent injuries.
