About The Position

We're seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to be a vital part of our team, ensuring peak performance of our plant and facility equipment. From diagnosing and repairing to installing and modifying, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our operations at their best. This role involves installing, diagnosing, analyzing, maintaining, modifying, repairing, and/or rebuilding a variety of plant and facility equipment. It also includes performing preventive maintenance tasks, assisting production personnel in change-overs and set-ups, and dismantling defective machines and equipment.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license
• Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
• Three (3) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training (for Level 2)
• Special knowledge in use of hand-tools and power-tools (for Level 2)
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems (for Level 2)
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges (for Level 2)
• Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics (for Level 2)
• Experience operating test equipment and/or software (for Level 2)
• Working knowledge of automated controls (for Level 2)
• Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoists and cranes, and maintain PIT certification (for Level 2)
• Five (5) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training (for Level 3)
• Special knowledge in use of hand-tools, power-tools and specialized knowledge in lock-out tab-out (LOTO) and introductory electrical knowledge to include basic wiring principles and basic electrical troubleshooting (for Level 3)
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, compare and investigate information, and recommend and implement resolution (for Level 3)
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance (for Level 3)
• Advanced understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges (for Level 3)
• Understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components (for Level 3)
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, and MS Excel (for Level 3)
• Experience operating test equipment and/or software (for Level 3)

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics (for all levels)
• Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experience
• Vocational, Technical or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls, Robotics or related field
• Experience in electrical and mechanical trades such as HVAC, PLC, and CNC

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently
• Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts
