About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and maintains manufacturing equipment to help keep production running safely and reliably. The role uses multi-craft maintenance skills and preventive maintenance systems to support equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. The position is based in Kathleen, Georgia, and is scheduled four days per week from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Weekend and holiday work is required. The work is hands-on and fast-paced, with extended periods of standing and walking, physical activity, and exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces. On-the-job learning includes hands-on and classroom training.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Work weekends and holidays as required.
Be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without accommodation.
Be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Nice To Haves

Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring, including 480V three-phase motors.
Multi-craft maintenance and repair experience, such as performing interrelated repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
Use preventive maintenance systems and work-order tracking to support equipment reliability.
Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
