About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment to ensure it operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. The position supports business goals through scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

The role involves working in production environments where food allergens may be present, including wheat, nuts, coconut, and soy products. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

Requirements

• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of PLCs and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and work orders to guide repairs and maintenance.
• Replace or repair defective parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform preventive maintenance routines, plumbing, and carpentry as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report them to supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Follow OSHA, FDA, GMP, and plant safety regulations.
