About The Position

This role supports Production and Operation by identifying and troubleshooting maintenance and service activities for all production units located in the manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse space. The job involves working in a manufacturing environment, with key drivers being productivity improvement and cost reduction. The Maintenance Mechanic Senior will troubleshoot and make physical repairs to manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment, and be able to lead others in this process. Approximately 90% of the time will be spent on the floor. The primary purpose is to troubleshoot, repair, and assist the Maintenance Lead in providing overall site maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement and productivity, while reducing operating costs. This position is critical in ensuring the site operates to the highest levels of Safety, Quality, and Productivity, and exceeds all corporate and regulatory EHS requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years maintenance experience, with minimum of 5 years as a maintenance Mechanic at an industrial manufacturing facility
  • Basic electrical skills (120/220/480V), including troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated computer skills (MS Office, Outlook and CMMS, ideally EAM)
  • Leadership, communication, organizational and team-building skills

Nice To Haves

  • PLC skills, including troubleshooting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Maintenance Lead in the development and execution of day-to-day strategic improvement plans for site maintenance including plant infrastructure, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, security, instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.
  • Implement all maintenance-related company requirements as per company policies and procedures and maintain full compliance, including assisting Maintenance Lead with maintenance and development of the site Mechanical Integrity program.
  • Examine equipment failure and assist Maintenance Lead in revising the Preventative Maintenance program as required to improve safety, optimize uptime, and reduce cost.
  • While on shift ensure daily maintenance activities are prioritized in alignment with the needs of Manufacturing and Planning departments.
  • Help coordinate 3rd party onsite maintenance activities.
  • Support floor operators in safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, EPA and Bostik EHS requirements.
  • Provide troubleshooting support including on the off-shifts as needed.
  • Continuously assist to drive improvements in the operational efficiency of Laminations through improvements in maintenance processes and equipment downtime and efficiency.
  • Assist and achieve maintenance team improvement goals and objectives in alignment with both Business and Plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
