About The Position
Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Laborer for its Avondale, Arizona location. The role works as part of a team to keep equipment running through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Duties include mechanical maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting, shoveling, inspections, and other assigned work. The employee helps maintain safe work areas and operates mobile equipment as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience operating mobile equipment, such as forklifts.
- Good organizational and math skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting, shoveling, and other duties as assigned.
- Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment.
- Conduct preventive inspections and document findings.
- Maintain safe work areas.
- Operate mobile equipment as needed.
