About The Position

Maintenance Laborers maintain the grounds and general condition of the maintenance facility. Duties may include custodial work in offices and shops, assistance with other lines of business as needed, and general support for facility operations. The role involves using hand-held tools and equipment, cleaning and preparing containers, pressure-washing, performing minor repairs, and transporting shop supplies, parts, and tools safely. Employees are expected to interact professionally with customers and follow applicable safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license, if applicable.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed, and overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to travel between offices as required.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working with various hand tools and equipment.
• Previous CDL driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds and surrounding areas, including cleaning shops, responding to oil-spill cleanup road calls, picking up parts, and performing general housekeeping.
• Operate hand-held manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment and tools in safe operating condition in accordance with rules and regulations.
• Pressure-wash and perform minor repairs to shop tools, bins, and containers, as well as other shop-based tasks.
• Use safe driving practices while transporting, loading, and unloading shop supplies, parts, and tools.
• Assist with general housekeeping in maintenance shops and offices.
• Perform minor repairs and general upkeep of the maintenance facility.
• Clean, prepare, and paint containers as needed.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with other lines of business, projects, or areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
