The Maintenance Laborer assists with a wide variety of repair and maintenance work on equipment and performs routine manual work when assigned. The role is based at Bergey's Truck Center in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. Duties include grounds upkeep, cleaning the office and repair facility, washing company vehicles, helping maintenance technicians with repair orders, and handling used oil filters and scrap parts appropriately. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training is required; alternatively, less than a high school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The posting also lists a high school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds maintenance and upkeep.
• Clean and maintain the office and repair facility daily.
• Run errands for the maintenance team as needed.
• Wash and clean company vehicles.
• Assist maintenance technicians with repair orders as needed.
• Clean forklifts and power equipment.
• Drain and properly dispose of used oil filters.
• Remove old scrap parts from the shop after checking with the manager.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
