About The Position

Waukesha County's Department of Public Works Facilities Maintenance Division is looking for their next Maintenance Mechanic II. The selected individual will work Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. The position requires mechanics to work 7 weekends and 2 holiday shifts per year.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Five (5) years of work experience involving general repairs and maintenance to building construction systems, mechanical/electrical systems, heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related areas.
Two (2) of the five (5) years of experience must be at a responsible level (Maintenance Mechanic I or equivalent).
Relevant training at a technical school, college, university, or apprenticeship program may be substituted on a year-for-year basis to meet the work experience requirement.
Possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the essential job functions.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

General repairs and maintenance to building construction systems
General repairs and maintenance to mechanical/electrical systems
General repairs and maintenance to heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems
