About The Position

Medxcel is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic II for the Facilities department at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan. This full-time, day-shift role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment at assigned facilities. The position may include more complex work involving multiple systems or coordination across departments. The mechanic uses specialized knowledge of locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to repair heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, and ventilation systems and equipment, and to install and maintain motors and specialized equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate of a trade school and 2 years of experience; or 4 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Specialized knowledge and expertise in locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment at assigned facilities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Complete complex assignments that may involve multiple systems or cross-departmental interaction.
• Repair heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, and ventilation systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain motors and specialized equipment.
