About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team. The role involves monitoring, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on the components of the central utilities plant. This includes boilers (steam/heating/domestic hot water), generators, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and incinerators (as applicable). The position also assists with work on other building systems and components and supports the affiliate's compliance with environment of care management plans.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required
Two years facilities maintenance required
Valid state driver’s license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is required.

Nice To Haves

Three years stationary engineer experience preferred.
Power Plant Operating Engineer – Second Class License is recommended
HVAC Certification is preferred.
For positions covered under collective bargaining agreement, completion of hospital approved training program and minimum of four years at the Mechanic I level will be considered in lieu of license/certification.

Responsibilities
