About The Position

Position responsible for all phases of maintenance duties involving the repair and alteration of buildings and equipment, facilities, and physical plant operations. The position is based at Memorial Hermann TMC in Houston, Texas, and works Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience, or a certificate of completion from a technical or trade school or military experience, in an associated mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, or general construction trade skill.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, standard servicing and repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition, as directed.
• Perform urgent, corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and physical structures as required and maintain related records.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency in environmentally controlled areas.
• Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors, and adhere to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and service productivity.
• Support professional growth and development by meeting mandatory and continuing education and skills-competency requirements; support department goals and serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
• Create compassionate and personalized experiences for community members and model service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
